Hi bloggers. Today, we are going to talk about how to play a match in
“Pelota Valenciana” with the modality of “Raspall”. How we talked in others
posts, “Raspall” is a modality that play with a direct style mode and we can
play it in a ball court or in the street. The matches can be with one vs one,
two vs two, three vs two or three vs three. About score, in the ball court and
in the street play seven games (35 points). The winner of each game receives 5
points. The score between games is “15, 30, Val, Joc”. If you get those 4
points in the game, you win the game and your team already adds 5 points in the
overall sum of the game.
At the beginning, two teams comes to the middle of the field (local team
with red t-shirt colour and the visitor team with t-shirt blue but both teams
wear sports shorts). After, professional players make a photo to the press to
publish with the newspaper the next day.
To continuo, the referee do a raffle to choose the part of the ball
court or the street or to choose beginning with the serve.
After that, begin the match. The team that choose the serve, go to the
part of the field that there are a square (part of the field known how “Dau”)
and the gods of the “dau”. The other team go to the part of the field that
there is a god of the “rest”. When the team that have chosen a serve go to
serve, before do the serve, the ball has to bounce inside the “Dau” so that
afterwards it can be hit it. After I hit it, the ball has to bounce before a
line, this line is know how “Línea de falta”.
When the serve has been made, the ball can make many bounces since only
point will be get:
- When
the ball hits any part of the body other than the hand or the forearm.
- When
the player raises his hand and says fifteen.
- When
the ball touch the "tamborí".
- When
the line of the die crosses the ground.
- When
the ball is hung in the box above or in "the gallery of the Dau".
- When
the ball enter to the "llotgeta", touching the floor, chair, person
or any mobile element, even if it comes later.
- When
the ball bounces, touch the bouncing wall and the ball is not played without it
bouncing.
- When
the ball goes directly to the rebound wall and is not played before the ball
hits the second pot.
In addition, there is a rule that is a stopped ball. When stopped ball
during the match?
- When
the ball climbs the ladder or hits any fan on the ladder. Professional player
do the stopped ball with the dominant hand and the hit is with specific technical
gesture about this modality that is “la Raspada”.
During the game, always do the serve the same team until finished it. As
we have said before, the team that do the serve will be in the part of the “Dau”.
After, when the game is finish, change of field and do the same.
